Robert (Bob) J. Lamp’l, MBA - Immediate Past President
Bob was born in Miami Florida and moved to the Atlanta area in 1975. He is a graduate of Florida State University and went on to get his Masters Degree while in Georgia at Brenau College, graduating with a 4.0 GPA.
In the Corporate environment, his titles included Regional Controller, VP of Finance, Treasurer of several prestigious firms in the areas of Transportation, Telecommunications, Manufacturing and Property Management. He left these firms when they wanted him to transfer to other cities because he wanted to stay in Atlanta. He founded Accounting Business Center, Inc. on January 1st of 2000. This company was awarded the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce’s Small Business of the Month award for March of 2008. He founded Business Plans & More, Inc. in January of 2008 and built this company around his very successful business plans.
Bob join the Georgia Association of Accountants and Tax Professionals in August, 2002 and is a Past President of our organization. He has served as Treasurer for the North Gwinnett Business Association and past Treasurer for the Suwanee Business Alliance. He also serves on the Board of Directors for 8 other companies here in Atlanta (both for profit and not for profit companies).
He is married to his wife Kathy and the father to two grown children and has two grandchildren. Bob is a member of two professional music organizations (Northwinds Symphonic Band and the Atlanta Sacred Chorale), a composer of music and conductor for other music groups and is very active in his church and other charitable organizations.
