Jerry Brigham – Governor

Jerry Brigham joined GAPA/GAATP in September of 1992 and is currently serving on the GAATP Board of Governors for a second term. He is very active in the leadership of the CSRA Chapter-Augusta of the Georgia Association of Accountants and Tax Professionals. In 1994 he joined the National Society of Accountants.

Mr. Brigham is a graduate of Augusta College with a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration with a major in Accounting. He is enrolled to practice before the Internal Revenue Service. He is a member of the Augusta Commission, the Richmond County Board of Health and is on the board of Richmond County Medical Society’s Project Access. Mr. Brigham is a certified county commissioner by the University of Georgia and the Association of County Commissioners Georgia and holds a certificate of excellence from the Georgia Municipal Association.

Mr. Brigham has served on the Augusta Richmond County Planning Commission, the Richmond County Commission, and Richmond County Board of Education. He has been active in Republican Party of Richmond County and was delegate to the 1976 Republican National Convention. Jerry is a native Augustan. He is married to Debbie Brigham. They have four sons, three of whom are eagle scouts; the fourth is a life scout. They have five grandchildren and are expecting a sixth in the spring. They are members of Trinity on the Hill United Methodist Church and the Potter’s Class.
